Key concepts and audiences

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at the following, key concepts of media including representation weh have : identified and explored the key concepts of representation in media. We practiced using our powers of observation to build up an interpreted meaning. We also examined how stereotyping can effect media in different ways, we developed ideas in using representaion in media production.

We have also looked at Mediation and Personality theory, this involved exploring futher into how the concepts of representaion and stereotyping come about, we have studied how the representations work for the media and on their audiences.


Also in Key Concepts we have looked at Audience theories, we explored how different audiences view and interprate different things, ways in which audiences can be defined such as: Attitudes and Behaviour, Appearance, Dialogue and Mise en Scene, and audience research which included us conducting a questionnaire which we created ourselves. This helped us define target audiences which we would later use on our college magazine and usic magazine.
